Deep lemon color. The aroma reveals the floral notes typical of loess-based furmints even when ripe, but more of yellow flowers, along with mandarin and orange, then increasingly intense barrel spices, praline and freshly toasted wood, a touch of caramel and pepper. Tasting reveals a broad sip, full body, silky texture, with flavors of buttery popcorn, yellow apple and clove, a hint of vanilla and quince, medlar and a touch of dried date in the finish.
